Lou worked closely with the architect and builder of a 30,000 square foot library building that was widely recognized for its excellence. His personal architectural work has been limited to residential construction.
His biggest project is the raised deck in the picture to the right. The deck is 40' long and 10' deep, with a set of stairs at one end. Lou designed and detailed the deck, acquired the materials to build it, and did the construction himself, with substantial assistance by neighbors.
Another big project was air conditioning his home. He did all aspects of the job, including electrical, plumbing and sheet metal work, and building the pad for the compressor. He has finished basements, garages, and attics, and has built countless shelves, book cases, and desks, not to mention innumerable electrical wiring projects.
